📹 Video & Photo Upload Guide

Follow these simple steps to add your content to the website

Quick Start - Upload Auto-Playing Videos

Click the "Go to Manage Portfolio" button above

Click "Add New Item" button

Fill in the title and select category

Change "Media Type" to "Video"

Make sure "Video Source Type" is set to "Upload Video File"

Click "Upload Video" and select your MP4 or MOV file

Upload a thumbnail image (optional - shows as preview)

Click "Add Item"

Your video will now auto-play on the homepage portfolio!
Uploading Videos (MP4/MOV)

✨ Auto-Play Feature:

Videos uploaded as files (MP4/MOV) will automatically play in a loop on your portfolio section, muted and without requiring user interaction - perfect for showcasing your work!

Supported Formats:

  • MP4 (recommended)
  • MOV
  • Any video format supported by browsers

Important Notes:

  • Videos will be uploaded to cloud storage
  • Larger files may take longer to upload (be patient!)
  • You'll see "✓ Video uploaded" when complete
  • Uploaded videos auto-play, loop, and are muted by default
Uploading Photos

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Manage Portfolio
  2. Click "Add New Item"
  3. Keep "Media Type" as "Image"
  4. Click "Upload Image" and select your photo
  5. Fill in title and category
  6. Choose aspect ratio (square, wide, or tall)
  7. Click "Add Item"
Adding YouTube or Vimeo Videos

Steps:

  1. Set "Media Type" to "Video"
  2. Select "YouTube Link" or "Vimeo Link" as video source
  3. Paste the full URL (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...)
  4. Upload a thumbnail image (recommended)
  5. Click "Add Item"

Note: YouTube/Vimeo videos will open in a lightbox when clicked and play with full controls. They don't auto-play like uploaded video files.

Managing Your Content

Edit or Delete Items:

  • Go to Manage Portfolio
  • Hover over any item to see edit/delete buttons
  • Click the pencil icon to edit
  • Click the trash icon to delete (confirms before deleting)

Aspect Ratios:

  • Square: Normal grid item
  • Wide: Takes 2 columns (great for landscape videos)
  • Tall: Takes 2 rows (portrait style)
